Babes In Arms, Rodgers and Hart / July 8-12
1930's Broadway classic star vehicle for young Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney.
Musical theatre's immortal hits, "My Funny Valentine, Lady is a Tramp, and
Johnny One Note". The pure joy and idealism of a troupe of youthful summer
theatre apprentices (sound familiar??) "Hey, let's put on a show"!!
And a Nightingale Sang by C.P. Taylor/ July
15-19
Bittersweet romance, tender farce, and a shot of history for good measure.
Taylor gives us the Stott family in the north of England during World War II,
underscored with music of the era. Helen, the eldest daughter expects little in
the way of love, but the appearance of a soldier named Norman causes a seismic
shift in the way she sees herself and her world. Does love give us the freedom
to be transformed, even in the midst of turbulent times?
Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward/ July 22-26
A masterwork of 20th century comedy by Britain's genius of laughter and social
satire. The madcap plot is driven by the ghostly appearance of a former wife and
engages the audience with seances and a cast of outlandish characters. Pure fun
and sophistication!!
Toad of Toad Hall by A. A. Milne/ July
29-August 2
A dramatisation of Kenneth Grahams A Wind In the Willows, with kindly Rat, wise
Badger, gentle Mole, and conceited foolish Toad, who is always in trouble! His
obsessions (caravanning and cars) lead to imprisionment, not to mention
rollicking fights with the Weasels and the Stoats!! Plus Ferrets, Rabbits,
Squirrels, and Field Mice- for extra measure- what more can you ask for !!??
A Barnstormer Gold Standard Classic!!
(You may know half the cast of thousands!)
Dial M for Murder by Frederick Knott/ August
5-9
A gripping mystery in the film-noire style. “Tingling with excitement!! NY
Times
Driving Miss Daisy by Alfred Uhry/ August
12-16
Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the Academy Award for Best Picture. The Iconic
story/ relationship of an elderly southern Jewish lady and her African' American
chauffeur over several decades. Heartwarming, honest, brilliant writing, 2 of
the American theatre's most important and memorable characters.
Dracula by Bram Stoker, adapted for the stage by Deane
and Balderston/ August 19-23
The original staging of the 19th century masterpiece of gothic horror! Please
wear a shirt with a collar! On your way home from the theatre on a dark
summer night- please don't look in your rear view mirror- and for god's sake-
don't look in the back seat!!

Jimmy Roberts/ August 26-30
